Thank you!

Darkness & Discovery got an amazing review today on Amazon. It really made my day! A huge thank you to Alexandra for leaving this wonderful review! I've reprinted it below in its entirety.

After the exciting (and life-threatening!) events of book #1, Lu(na), Alastair and Joey allow themselves a much-needed period of rest. The small makeshift family celebrate an idyllic and blessedly uneventful Christmas, but the peace and quiet don't last long - after all, the order is still after them and Alastair has yet to get back his memories. And one of the things he has forgotten has the potential to destroy his and Lu's relationship - or even to endanger her life. That Bryn manages to accidentally split his soul from his body in a drunken stupor doesn't improve the situation... But help and support comes from unexpected places when enemies turn to friends.

In my opinion, this book is a very satisfying read, as good or even better than the first! The main characters are fleshed out and gain even more depth, showing previously undisclosed facets and traits, relationships are explored in more detail, and the plot stays thrilling and suspense-packed.

The characters are believable and likeable; even those who aren't exactly what you'd called good people, like Alastair's obsessed Sire, make you care about them. And it's been a long time since I last liked a character as much as I love Bryn!

I'm looking forward to book #3 - not least because this book ends with one heck of a cliffhanger!

Cover Reveal!

Darkness & Discovery, Book Two in the Bespelled Trilogy, is coming soon to Amazon. It should be up and running right around Christmas. And today I'm thrilled to give you a sneak peek at the cover, featuring Lu and Alastair. The smaller photo is of the Las Vegas strip, where much of the action in this book takes place.

In an earlier post, I talked about how hard it was for me to find a model that looked like Alastair. Is the guy in this photo what I see in my mind's eye when I picture the character? No, not really. But he was as close as I could come. And he's pretty cute in his own right, don'tcha think? :)

But while Alastair isn't quite Alastair, I do like the way Luna is represented on this cover. She's very close to how I see the character.

Just a reminder for my readers: a free sneak preview of chapter one of Darkness & Discovery is available. Please see my last post for the link that'll take you to it.

Won't be long now, friends! :)

Book Two: Darkness & Discovery now in the works!

I recently made the decision to keep going on the Bespelled Trilogy, based on some wonderful positive feedback I'd received (as mentioned in an earlier post).

And I'm thrilled to announce that the second book in the trilogy, tentatively entitled Darkness & Discovery, has practically been writing itself ever since!

I'd been thinking about these characters for a long time, so it's been a remarkably quick process to write their story -- at least so far. There will of course be a lot of time dedicated to editing, proofreading, and general fixing up. But I've set the goal for myself to publish book two before the new year!

That's quite ambitious, given how hectic the holidays always are. But just based on how well the story's been progressing, I think it can be done!

Be on the lookout for a link to Darkness & Discovery, Chapter One soon, a little sneak-peak as a thank you to my readers!
